A TalentCell battery pack is a portable 12V power source with a DC barrel output, built for the gear a normal phone power bank cannot run: LED light strips, CCTV and IP cameras, routers, modems, telescopes and DIY electronics. For a desk or streaming setup, that means your RGB strips keep glowing on the move, and more importantly, your router and modem can stay online when the power drops.
This article covers five TalentCell packs. Three are classic lithium ion packs at 3000mAh, 5200mAh and 6000mAh, one uses LiFePO4 cells for a much longer cycle life, and one is a Mini UPS with 97.2Wh and seven outputs designed specifically for outage backup. They differ in chemistry, capacity, output voltage behavior and what comes in the box. We compared listings, specifications and intended use rather than running discharge tests, and we flag listing details that do not add up.

Best for
LED strips plus phone charging on the go
Pros
- 6Wh capacity
- 12V DC and 5V USB outputs
- Charger and splitter included
- 18-month warranty
Cons
- 12V output drops toward 9V
- 1A charger is slow
The Talentcell Rechargeable 12V 6000mAh 5V 12000mAh pack is the classic TalentCell 12V 6000mAh model and the most versatile starting point. Total capacity is 66.6Wh, listed as 11.1V 6000mAh or 3.7V 18000mAh, and it has two outputs: a DC 12V barrel port and a 5V USB port, so you can run an LED strip and top up a phone from the same pack.
The 12V output is not regulated. The listing says it ranges from 12.6V down to 9V as the pack drains, which most 12V devices tolerate, but LED strips may dim toward the end of a charge. The port is DC5521 with inner positive. In the box are a 12.6V 1A wall charger and a one-female-to-two-male splitter cable, and five LEDs show remaining charge. It carries overcharge, over-discharge and short-circuit protection and an 18-month warranty. This suits builders who want one pack for strips, cameras and phones.

Best for
Small LED strips and short sessions
Pros
- Compact 3000mAh pack
- Charger and splitter included
- 5 LED battery gauge
Cons
- Lowest capacity here
- 5A charger
The TalentCell 12V Power Bank is the 3000mAh version, half the capacity of the 6000mAh model, and the listing does not give its watt-hour rating. It uses the same DC5521 port with inner positive and the same 12.6V to 9V unregulated output range, with a five-LED charge indicator.
The kit includes a 12.6V 0.5A charger, which means recharging will take longer than packs with a 1A or 2A charger, plus the same splitter cable. The listing names LED strips, LED panels, amplifiers, CCTV cameras, modems, car DVRs and telescopes as compatible uses. The listing does not mention a USB output. It suits short sessions: a few hours of a small LED strip for a photo shoot, cosplay prop or desk demo. If you need to ride out a real outage, the 6000mAh pack or the Mini UPS is a better fit.
- 3000mAh, 12V DC output
- 0.5A charger and splitter cable
- 5 LED charge indicator

Best for
Long-life router and camera backup
Pros
- LiFePO4 chemistry
- 3000+ cycles claimed
- 8Wh, 5A max output
Cons
- Charger not listed as included
- Dimension listing looks wrong
The TalentCell 12V 6Ah LiFePO4 Battery swaps standard lithium ion cells for lithium iron phosphate. The headline is cycle life: TalentCell claims 3000+ cycles, which is why LiFePO4 is popular for backup batteries that get charged and drained often. Capacity is 12.8V 6000mAh, or 76.8Wh, the most of the single-output packs here.
Output runs from 14.6V to 9V with a nominal 12.8V, and the listing says the voltage sits between about 12V and 13V for more than 90% of a discharge cycle. That flatter curve is a real advantage for LED strips and routers that dislike sagging voltage. Maximum output is 5A. The listing positions it as a replacement for small lead-acid batteries, and it weighs 700 g. It lists a 1-year warranty. The listed dimensions include a 0.14-inch thickness, which cannot be right for a pack this heavy, and the listing does not say whether a charger is included, so confirm before you order.
- LiFePO4 cells, 3000+ cycles claimed
- 76.8Wh, 5A max
- Output mostly 12V to 13V
- Over-charge, over-discharge and short protection

Best for
Keeping router and modem online in outages
Pros
- 2Wh capacity
- 4x 12V, 9V and USB outputs
- Charger and two cables included
Cons
- Not for loads over 37W
- USB-C PD not confirmed in features
The TalentCell Mini UPS Uninterrupted Power Supply is the pack to buy if your goal is to keep a router and modem running through power cuts. Capacity is 97.2Wh, described as 3.7V 27000mAh across 12 cells or 11.1V 8800mAh. Outputs include four DC 12V ports (9V to 12.6V range), one DC 9V port and USB ports, which is enough for a modem, router and a couple of small devices at once.
The listing includes the charger (12.6V 2A) and two DC 5.5 x 2.1mm male-to-male cables. It is honest about limits: it cannot continuously power devices above 37W. Some specs conflict. The title mentions 18W USB-A and USB-C PD output, while the feature list describes two USB 5V outputs, and the specification table lists both 98W maximum power and 10.5W output wattage. Treat 37W as the practical ceiling. For online gamers, a router and modem often draw far less than that, which is exactly the use case this suits.
- 97.2Wh, 7 outputs
- 4x 12V, 1x 9V, USB ports
- Charger and 2 DC cables included
- Rated for loads up to 37W

Best for
DIY builds and RC projects
Pros
- Small 320 g body
- 3A max output
- 16Wh capacity
Cons
- Less capacity than 6000mAh packs
- No USB output listed
The Talentcell 12V Rechargeable Lithium ion Battery is the TalentCell 12V 5200mAh pack, rated at 10.8V 5200mAh or 56.16Wh. Its DC5521 output runs 12.6V to 9V with a nominal 11.1V and delivers up to 3A. At 320 g and 2.76 x 2.2 x 1.57 inches, it is the smallest pack with meaningful capacity here.
That size and output make it a good fit for DIY projects, radios, fishing lights, RC cars, LED strips inside cosplay props and small cameras. The title says a charger is included, and it carries a 1-year warranty and standard protections. The listing does not mention a USB output, so it is a 12V-only pack. Choose it over the 6000mAh model when space and weight matter more than a USB port and a bit of extra capacity.
- 56.16Wh, 3A max
- 320 g compact body
- Charger included per title

NOTES
Buying Tips for TalentCell 12V Battery Packs
Size the pack in watt-hours, not milliamp-hours. Divide the Wh rating by your device’s wattage for a rough runtime, then knock off some margin for conversion losses. A 10W router and modem pair on the 97.2Wh Mini UPS would, in theory, run for several hours, while a 30W LED strip would drain the 56.16Wh pack in well under two. For security cameras that run on their own batteries, a dedicated extended camera battery pack may be a neater solution than a barrel-jack pack.
Check the plug. Every pack here uses a 5.5 x 2.1mm barrel with inner positive. If your device uses a different jack or polarity, buy the correct adapter before plugging in. Also remember that the lithium ion packs output 12.6V down to 9V; the LiFePO4 pack holds closer to 12V to 13V for most of its cycle, which suits voltage-sensitive gear.
Finally, match capacity to the job. For whole-desk backup including a PC and monitor, a small barrel-jack pack is the wrong tool and a larger portable power station with AC outlets makes more sense. TalentCell shines for low-wattage 12V gear.
FAQ
Can a TalentCell battery keep my router online during a power outage?
Yes, that is what the Mini UPS is designed for. It has four 12V outputs and a 9V output, and it is rated for loads up to 37W. Check your router and modem input voltage and plug size first.
What is the difference between Li-ion and LiFePO4 TalentCell packs?
The LiFePO4 pack claims 3000+ cycles and holds its voltage between about 12V and 13V for most of a discharge. The Li-ion packs are lighter for their capacity but their 12V output drifts from 12.6V down to 9V.
Is the 12V output regulated?
Not on the Li-ion packs. Their listings state a range of 12.6V to 9V. The LiFePO4 pack lists 14.6V to 9V with a nominal 12.8V.
Which TalentCell pack has a USB port?
The 6000mAh 12V/5V pack and the Mini UPS list USB outputs. The 3000mAh, 5200mAh and LiFePO4 listings describe only DC outputs.
Can I charge the pack while it powers a device?
The Mini UPS is marketed as an uninterruptible supply for exactly that scenario. The other listings do not specify pass-through charging, so check with TalentCell support before relying on it.
