How We Review

A write-up on this site is a compilation. Here is exactly what is in it.

• The manufacturer’s specification. Copied from the product listing, reorganised so the same field sits in the same place on every page.
• The listed price. Read from the Amazon listing at the time the page was built or last refreshed.
• The buyer rating. The average score Amazon shoppers have left, out of five. 7,373 of the 7,376 products on file have one.
• The product photograph from the listing, where the listing has one — 7,375 of 7,376 do.

What the score means

The star rating on a page is not ours. It is the average of the scores Amazon buyers left for that product. We pass it through unchanged; we do not weight it, adjust it or add an editorial score of our own.

An important limit

Say it plainly: we do not test. Durability, noise, heat, how the software behaves after an update — none of that can be read off a specification sheet, so we do not pretend to know it.

What ends up on a list

Selection follows what people actually shop for, not what anyone pays us. Nobody can buy a slot on a page here, and no brand has ever asked and been told yes.

Why the price may differ

The price on a page was true when it was read and may not be true now. Amazon changes prices often, sometimes several times a day. Treat every figure here as a marker, and take the price on Amazon as the real one.

Fixing errors

We would rather be told than be wrong quietly. Use the contact page, name the page and say what is off. We edit the page rather than append a correction notice.
