Choose the Wanderer Li 30A for a 12V van or RV with a few panels and a lithium battery. If your system is 24V, look at the Adventurer or Wanderer 10A instead.

The Renogy Wanderer 10A PWM Solar Charge Controller is the Renogy Wanderer 10A, a small 12V/24V controller for starter kits. It accepts up to 50V of PV input, which is double the Wanderer Li’s limit, and supports AGM, gel, flooded and lithium batteries, with lithium set manually.

Its extra trick is load control: manual, automatic and timed modes let you run lights, pumps or other DC loads straight from the controller. Self-consumption is under 10mA, so it barely drains the battery. A backlit LCD shows voltage, current and status, the listing mentions USB charging, and an RS232 port connects to the DC Home app through the BT-1 module, sold separately. The model is RNG-CTRL-WND10 with a 2-year warranty. If you are building from scratch, a Renogy solar panel kit often pairs panels with a controller like this.

This suits a shed, a small cabin light setup or a single-panel trial. Anything above 10A of charging needs a bigger controller.

The Renogy 30A 12V 24V PWM Solar Charge Controller is the Renogy Adventurer 30A. It auto-detects 12V or 24V systems and charges lithium, AGM, gel and flooded batteries across four stages, and Renogy says it can revive over-discharged lithium batteries.

The design is meant to flush mount into a wall, with a surface-mount kit included, which gives van builds a clean, finished look. It is negative ground, has a backlit LCD with self-diagnostics, and works with the BT-1 module for app monitoring. It operates from -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit with automatic temperature compensation and is backed by a 2-year warranty. It measures 6.56 x 4.5 x 1.9 inches. The listing does not state its PV input limit or a waterproof rating.

Choose the Adventurer for a 24V system or a flush-mounted panel in a van. For wet locations, the Voyager is the safer PWM choice.

The Renogy 60A MPPT Solar Charge Controller is the Renogy Rover Lite 60A, the entry to Renogy’s MPPT line. It supports 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V batteries automatically and accepts up to 150V of solar input, which Renogy says lets you run six of its 200W panels in series with less wiring.

It operates at full load from -31 to 113 degrees Fahrenheit and adds low-temperature protection for lithium batteries. Clearly labeled ports, an LCD and buttons keep setup simple.
