Core 300-P in homes with pets

Best for
Core 300-P owners on a routine swap

The Levoit Core 300-P Air Purifier Replacement filter (model Core 300-RF) is the standard genuine Levoit filter for the Core 300-P. The description lists three stages: a fine preliminary filter for pet fur, dander, lint, fibers and hair; a multi-layer filter for dust, mold spores, pollen, pet dander and mites; and an activated carbon layer for pet odors, cooking smells, smoke, ammonia and VOCs.

It measures 7.6 by 7.6 by 5.79 inches and weighs 14.08 ounces. The listing mentions that Levoit offers alternative Core 300-P filters too, including a Toxin Absorber, a Smoke Remover and a Pet Allergy filter. The listing itself does not state a HEPA grade or replacement interval. For a Core 300-P in a gaming room, this is the default swap; if pets share the space, compare it with the Pet Allergy version below.

• Genuine Levoit Core 300-RF filter
• Pre-filter, multi-layer filter and activated carbon
• Targets dust, pollen, mites, odors and VOCs

Best for
Buying the Core 300-P purifier itself

The Levoit Air Purifier for Home Pets is the Core 300-P purifier, not a replacement filter. If you are searching for a filter, skip it; if you are deciding which purifier to put in your setup room, it explains why the Core 300-P filters matter. It has a 56W motor and AHAM Verifide CADR ratings of 143 CFM for smoke, 153 CFM for dust and 167 CFM for pollen, cleaning a 222 square foot room 4.8 times per hour and a 1,073 square foot room once per hour.

Levoit says its Original Filter is HEPA-grade while operating in Sleep Mode, with 99.97 percent efficiency for 0.1 to 0.3 micron particles, tested by an independent lab. Sleep Mode drops noise to 24dB, the display lights turn off, and a 2, 4, 6 or 8 hour timer and check filter indicator are included. It is FCC certified, ETL listed and CARB compliant, runs at 120V and is for US use only. Levoit notes that CADR figures are based on its Original Filters, not other replacements.

Best for
Core Mini owners wanting two spares

The 2 Pack Core Mini Filter H13 is made by Colorfullife, not Levoit. It is a compatible Levoit Core Mini filter, compared with part Core Mini-RF and listed for the Levoit Core Mini (LAP-C161). The seller stresses it fits the Core Mini model only.

Each filter is a 3-in-1 design with pre-filter, H13 True HEPA and activated carbon layers, claimed to capture 99.97 percent of particles down to 0.3 microns. Dimensions are 5.7 by 5.7 by 4.8 inches, and the spec table also lists MERV 13, which sits oddly alongside an H13 HEPA claim. The seller says the filters last longer than the usual three months but gives no specific figure. Because it is not genuine, Levoit’s own guidance about using official filters applies. It suits Core Mini owners who want two spares on hand for a compact desk purifier.

• Two filters per pack
• Pre-filter, H13 HEPA and carbon layers
• Fits Levoit Core Mini only

The Levoit Core 300-P Air Purifier Replacement Pet Allergy filter (Core 300-P-RF-PA) is Levoit’s genuine variant for homes with animals. The description says the Pet Allergy filter captures fur and absorbs unpleasant odors.

That is all the listing specifies about its filtration layers, so it does not say how it differs in construction from the standard filter. It measures 7.48 by 7.48 by 6.3 inches and weighs 1.17 pounds, slightly heavier than the standard filter, which suggests more material, though the listing does not say what. If your cat sleeps on your gaming chair, this is the Levoit pet allergy filter to try in a Core 300-P.

Best for
Core 200S-P desk-side purifiers

The Levoit Core 200S-P Air Purifier Replacement filter (Core 200S-RF) is the genuine filter for the smaller Core 200S-P. The description lists a fine preliminary filter for pet fur, lint and hair, an efficient filter for dust, mold spores, pollen and mites, and an activated carbon filter for odors, cooking smells, smoke, ammonia and VOCs.

It measures 7.28 by 5.75 by 7.28 inches and weighs 10.88 ounces. The listing does not specify a HEPA grade or replacement interval. It suits Core 200S-P owners running a compact purifier near a desk or bed. It will not fit a Core 300-P, so check your model first.

Best for
LV-H132 owners wanting genuine filters

The Levoit LV-H132 Air Purifier Replacement Filter is the most detailed listing here. It is genuine and designed for the LV-H132 series, with a three-stage system: a pre-filter for hair, dust and large particles, a main filter that removes 99.97 percent of particles down to 0.3 microns, and a high-density activated carbon filter for gases and odors.

Levoit says the filter life indicator and built-in algorithm only work with authentic filters, and recommends replacement every six months. The filter is AHAM Verifide, sealed in plastic that you remove before installing, and its carbon comes from FSC-certified wood. It is marketed for homes with babies, pets, smokers, allergies and frequent cooking, including wildfire smoke and pollen. For LV-H132 owners, this is the filter to buy.

• 99.97 percent capture down to 0.3 microns
• Works with the LV-H132 filter life indicator
• Replace every 6 months
