LANBON LCD Smart Switches for a Next-Level Game Room

6 models on the list October 28, 2026 9 min read

Every spec and price on this page is quoted from the Amazon listing for that model. Scores are out of 10, based on listed specifications and buyer feedback. Nothing here was handled or measured by us.

As Amazon Associates, we earn from qualifying purchases. This means we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you if you click through and make a purchase.

A LANBON smart switch replaces a plain wall switch with a small touchscreen you can label, color and icon to match your room, which is why these switches suit RGB game rooms and streaming setups so well. The right model depends on how many lights you control from one box, whether you need dimming for movie and gaming scenes, and whether you want extras like a radar-wake screen or a built-in alarm. Every model here needs a neutral wire and 2.4GHz WiFi, and all work with Alexa and Google Home.

We compared six LANBON switches from their listings and specifications: the large-screen L10, the L8 with WiFi mesh and wireless 3-way control, two L9 on/off switches for one or two loads, the L9 dimmer with one-tap scenes, and the L8 alarm switch kit with sensors and a siren. They differ in screen size, number of loads, dimming support and wall box fit. We did not wire them into our own walls, so use the install notes below as a checklist.

Best for
Showpiece switch with custom screen headers

Pros

  • Large color LCD
  • Custom headers, icons and labels
  • 1-4 loads or curtain mode
  • Motion wake screen

Cons

  • Not a dimmer
  • Needs 2 in. deep box

The LANBON L10 Large LCD Smart Light Switch, model L10-HS, is the showpiece of the range. It has a large, bright color touchscreen where you customize screen styles, headers, icons and labels. The header can show time, date, weather, a calendar or different clock styles, so each switch in the house can display what is most useful for that room.

It is a 6-in-1 multi-mode switch: during setup you pick one mode, controlling 1, 2, 3 or 4 light loads, or a curtain. The screen wakes when you approach within about 1 meter, and you can optionally have it switch the light on, though LANBON notes it is a convenience feature rather than a PIR occupancy switch. It works with Alexa, Google Home and the app. Before buying, check the requirements: it needs a neutral wire, a single-gang box at least 2 inches deep (2.5 inches or deeper is recommended), and 2.4GHz WiFi. It is not a dimmer and not a central control panel. The spec lists 110 volts and a 10A rating. For a game room with an LED strip, a ceiling light, a desk lamp and blackout curtains, this single switch can handle a lot.

  • Large color LCD with custom headers and icons
  • 1, 2, 3 or 4 loads, or curtain control
  • Motion-wake screen at about 1 meter
  • Neutral wire and 2.4GHz WiFi required

Best for
Whole-house setups with weak WiFi corners

Pros

  • WiFi mesh networking
  • 1/2/3 gang modes
  • Wireless 3-way control

Cons

  • Smart Living app only
  • Single-gang box only

The LANBON Smart Light Switch,1 2 3 Gang panel, model L8-HS, is the whole-house option. Its LCD panel switches between single, double and triple pole modes, and you can personalize button names, icons, button colors and edge lighting. Its standout feature is WiFi mesh: the switches relay the signal to one another so devices in far corners stay online without a new router.

You get timers, schedules, remote app control and voice control through Alexa and Google Assistant. Wireless 3-way control is set up in the app, not with traveler wires: one light from two switches, three groups of 3-way control using four switches, or linking separate lights. There are clear limits. It uses the Smart Living app only, not Smart Life, Tuya or HomeKit, fits only a regular single-gang box, not a multi-gang box and wall plate, and needs a neutral wire and 2.4GHz WiFi. It suits a larger home or a basement game room where WiFi drops out.

Best for
Two light zones from one switch

Pros

  • 1 or 2 independent loads
  • Radar wake at 0.5/2/4 m
  • Custom names, colors, background

Cons

  • 200W per load max
  • On/off only

Best for
Single light in a multi-gang wall

Pros

  • 9-inch LCD with custom icon
  • Adjustable radar auto light
  • Energy use tracking

Cons

  • One load, 200W max
  • Not a dimmer

The LANBON L9 1-Load LCD Smart Light Switch, model L9-HS1, is designed for standard US multi-gang boxes, so it can sit side by side with other switches. It controls one on/off load, and its 1.9-inch LCD shows a custom name and icon so guests know exactly which switch runs the RGB ceiling panel or the hallway light.

Radar wakes the screen as you approach and can turn the light on automatically, with Low, Medium and High sensitivity at about 0.5, 2 and 4 meters. The screen also shows the time, and the app tracks real-time power use and energy history. It supports scheduling, Alexa, Google Home and LANBON wireless multi-way control. It needs 2.4GHz WiFi, a neutral wire and 120V hardwiring, and is limited to 200W on one load. It is not a dimmer. The spec lists a 10A rating, which does not match the 200W limit in the features, so follow the 200W figure.

The LANBON L9 1- or 2-Load LCD Smart Light Switch, model L9-HS2, takes the same compact multi-gang format and adds a second channel. You can run it as single-channel for one load or dual-channel for two independent loads, each with its own name and icon. That is handy for splitting a desk light from a ceiling light, or accent LEDs from the main lights.

The 1.9-inch LCD shows time, power information and per-load names and icons, and you can customize button colors and the background. Radar wake and auto light use the same Low, Medium and High settings of about 0.5, 2 and 4 meters. It works by touch, the Smart Living app, Alexa or Google Home, and supports wireless multi-way linking. It requires 120V, a neutral wire and 2.4GHz WiFi, and handles up to 200W or 2A per load, on/off only.

Best for
Movie and gaming lighting scenes

Pros

  • 1-100% dimming
  • One-tap scenes incl. Movie
  • Wireless multi-way control

Cons

  • 150W max LED load
  • Dimmable bulbs only

The LANBON L9 Smart Dimmer Switch, model L9-HD, is the only dimmer here and the best fit for scene control. It offers smooth touchscreen dimming from 1% to 100%, and you can save one-tap scenes such as Reading, Movie, Relax and Sleep. Drop the main lights to a low glow for a horror game, or bring them up for a stream, without opening an app.

The 1.9-inch LCD lets you set room names, icons and colors. It fits US multi-gang boxes, and wireless multi-way control lets you link other compatible LANBON devices to control the same light from more places without a traveler wire. It needs a neutral wire and 2.4GHz WiFi and works only with dimmable LED, incandescent and halogen bulbs, up to a 150W LED load. It is not for ceiling fans, motors or non-dimmable LEDs. The spec lists a 1.5A current rating.

Best for
Game rooms needing a DIY alarm

Pros

  • Switch plus alarm hub
  • 3 motion and 3 door sensors
  • 120 dB siren, no subscription

Cons

  • 1/2 gang light control only
  • Neutral wire required

The LANBON L8 LCD Alarm Smart Switch, model L8-HAK, combines a 1 or 2 gang smart light switch with a home alarm hub. The 7-piece kit includes the LCD switch panel, which LANBON also calls the alarm station, plus 3 motion sensor alarm sirens and 3 door and window sensors, already configured.

When a door or window sensor separates or motion is detected, the hub sounds a 120-decibel alarm and sends a push notification. You can switch between Arm, Disarm and Home modes on the panel, in the Smart Living app or by voice with Alexa and Google Home, and there are no monthly fees. It supports 7 to 9 zones with 1 to 4 probes each and works with other wireless 433MHz probes. It suits a game room with expensive gear and a door you want watched. If you want to add water leak protection under a mini fridge, our smart leak sensor guide covers that side.

NOTES

Buying Tips for LANBON Smart Switches

Check your wiring first. Every LANBON switch here needs a neutral wire, which many older homes do not have in switch boxes. Open the box with the power off, or ask an electrician, before you buy. Also confirm your router broadcasts 2.4GHz, since none of these connect over 5GHz alone. If your box has no neutral, a different style of switch may suit you better, such as the options in our budget smart switch guide.

Next, match the switch to your box. The L9 family is built for US multi-gang boxes, while the L8 1/2/3 gang panel fits only a single-gang box, and the L10 needs a deep single-gang box. Picking the wrong format is the most common reason a smart switch goes back.

Finally, think about dimming. Only the L9 dimmer adjusts brightness, and only with dimmable bulbs. If your game room runs on RGB strips with their own controllers, an on/off switch is fine, and the dimmer is best saved for the main ceiling light.
